Why pray?
Why pray? The following thought from Oswald Chamber makes a wonderful case for prayer—“The idea of prayer is not to get answers from God; prayer is perfect and complete oneness with God. If we pray because we want answers, we will get huffed with God. The answers come every time, but not always in the way we expect, and our spiritual huff shows a refusal to identify ourselves with our Lord in prayer. We are not here to prove God answers prayer; we are here to be living monuments of God’s grace.”

Thanks, Ernie.... sometimes we look at prayer as if it is just a time to give HIM a "to do list" rather than coming to worship and commune with HIM and become one with HIM. Coming to HIM in that worship and perfect oneness many times causes us to change our prayers to more conincide with His will rather than our will. Interesting!!!
I love the way Chambers can slice through to the important point!
